FDNY Firefighter Caught with Party Drugs in Long Island

Brooklyn FDNY Firefighter Suspended Amid Drug Arrest in Nassau County

A firefighter from Brooklyn employed by the FDNY has been placed on suspension following his arrest on drug-related charges in Nassau County.

On October 2nd, Nassau County detectives detained Bomani Drayton in West Hempstead. Authorities reported finding various narcotics, including cocaine, Ketamine, MDMA, Adderall, and Alprazolam, in his possession. Drayton, who was reportedly attempting to sell these substances, faces multiple charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

His court appearance is scheduled for October 14th. The FDNY has confirmed that Drayton, who joined the department in 2023 and was assigned to Engine 234 in Brooklyn, has been suspended following the incident.
