Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ Contract: Salary & Oscar Bonus Revealed
Unsealed Contract Details for Blake Lively in “It Ends With Us”
A draft contract for Blake Lively’s role in the film adaptation of the novel “It Ends With Us” was revealed amid her ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni. The unsigned agreement, filed in New York, outlines her compensation and terms for the project.
According to the document, the actress was offered a salary exceeding $1.7 million for portraying Lily Bloom. Additionally, she was to receive 10% of the film’s gross earnings in 2024 and various bonuses tied to the box office success and whether the film received any major awards—$250,000 for each significant milestone, and $200,000 if she secured an Oscar or Golden Globe win.
The contract also included extras such as $100,000 for a nomination and $200,000 for a win at the Academy Awards, $75,000 for a Golden Globe nomination, with higher amounts for wins, and similar bonuses for SAG Awards. However, Lively was not nominated for any awards, and she chose not to sign this draft.
The agreement detailed additional benefits for filming in New Jersey, including private jet travel for her family, nannies, assistants, and security. Other provisions mandated dispute resolution through arbitration, disallowing public court filings.
In terms of on-set support, she was to be provided with a personal driver, assistant fees of $1,500, use of a trailer with amenities, and a weekly stipend of $1,000 for training and meals. Despite these terms, Lively did not proceed with signing the contract.
The film did not receive any major award nominations, and Lively’s representatives have not responded to inquiries. Following the movie’s release, Lively filed a lawsuit against her co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and that he harassed her and others on set. Baldoni has denied the allegations and had attempted to sue her for defamation, but that suit was dismissed. Their upcoming court confrontation is scheduled for March 2026.
