Florida Man Clobbers Shoppers with Metal Shelf in Publix Brawl
Man Attacks Shoppers with Metal Shelf During Miami-area Brawl
In a violent incident at a Miami-area supermarket, a shirtless man identified as Climont Mann attacked multiple people using a metal shelf during a large and chaotic fight on Thursday evening.
The disturbance began around 6 p.m. outside the Publix at Southwest 163rd Street and Southwest 95th Avenue, following an aggressive verbal altercation that escalated into physical violence. Witnesses captured footage showing two women fighting near store entrance, knocking over a display of greeting cards, which contributed to the chaos.
Additionally, Mann was seen on video grabbing a large metal shelf and striking two women lying on the ground. After smashing the shelf several times, he dropped it and re-engaged in the fight. During the melee, various items such as greeting cards, headphones, a loaf of bread, and even one woman’s wig were thrown onto the floor.
Numerous bystanders watched the scene unfold; some recorded the events, while others casually bypassed the violence. One onlooker remarked, “Ooh, man, you going to jail,” as the incident played out.
The altercation eventually spilled into the parking lot, where police intervened and dispersed the crowd. Several individuals, including two who sustained injuries, were transported to hospitals, while others received treatment on site. Store employees remained at their posts, awaiting authorities.
Legal Consequences
Mann was arrested and charged with felony aggravated battery, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. The criminal mischief charge was later dropped in court, but he remains held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a bond set at $5,150. Authorities ordered him to stay away from his victims both in person and online. Mann is scheduled for arraignment on December 8.
