Sophia, 16, Debuts Huge New Stomach Tattoo
First Tattoo Unveiled by Sophia Abraham
Sophia Abraham, the 16-year-old daughter of Farrah Abraham, has gotten her first tattoo. She showcased the new body art—three large bats on each side of her stomach—in an Instagram video posted Wednesday.
Farrah and Sophia, who first gained attention on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant,” hinted earlier that Sophia might be expecting, teasing fans with cryptic posts. The video features Sophia looking apprehensive while holding her stomach, as a woman exclaims, “Oh, my God!”
Sophia then lifts her shirt to reveal her tattoo, with the words “I got my first tattoo!!” flashing across the screen, signaling the milestone.
The video, which started with the caption “I have a surprise for you guys,” showed Sophia looking worried before revealing her new ink. Abraham joked about not becoming a grandma at 34, expressing relief after seeing her daughter’s tattoo.
Fans divided on the matter—some praised Farrah for supporting her daughter’s self-expression, while others criticized the teen’s age for permanent modifications. Comments ranged from points about the importance of setting bounds at young ages to praise for acceptance.
Some viewers felt Sophia’s autonomy should be respected, with one commenter noting, “I love how she’s completely opposite from her mom, and she’s treated just the same,” while another argued that the teen was too young for such permanence. Abraham has not addressed the criticism publicly but previously defended her decision to allow her daughter facial piercings at age 14.
