Houston Shooting: Gunman Kills 3 Before Turning G:u:n on Himself
Fatal Shooting Spree in Texas Ends in Self-Inflicted Gunshot
A man in Texas conducted a violent rampage across multiple cities, resulting in three fatalities before taking his own life, authorities reported.
The incident began around 1 p.m. in Sugar Land, approximately 19 miles southwest of Houston, when police responded to a vehicle collision involving a woman with multiple gunshot wounds. She was found behind the wheel of a white SUV that had veered off the road.
Initially believed to be a case of road rage, officials later stated that the woman and the shooter knew each other, indicating a personal connection rather than a random act of violence.
Two witnesses assisted emergency personnel in performing life-saving measures on the woman, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The suspect, driving a gray Ford Escape, was later spotted in a confrontation at a mechanic shop in southwest Houston, just ten minutes from the initial shooting location. According to authorities, he exchanged gunfire with a worker and another man who was recording the scene, shooting both of them. Both casualties died at the scene.
The suspect then fled the scene and was found dead inside his vehicle, with investigators concluding he died from a self-inflicted gunshot. The relationship between the shooter and the two other victims remains unclear, and the motive is still under investigation.
