Hasan Piker Faces Backlash Over Viral Dog S:ho:ck Collar Clip
Controversy Surrounds Twitch Streamer Over Alleged Dog Collar Use
A Twitch streamer has come under fire after a clip surfaced showing his dog, Kaya, appearing to cry out in pain during a livestream. The incident occurred while the streamer was expressing frustration about internet issues in Los Angeles.
In the video, Kaya seems to react suddenly after her owner presses a button on his desk. The streamer then reprimands her, saying, “Jesus Christ, what are you doing?” and dismisses her distress, claiming she is just a “baby.” He blames his mother for spoiling Kaya, which he referenced during the broadcast.
Later, the streamer showed the collar he used on Kaya, claiming it has a vibration feature rather than a shock setting. He activated this vibration mode on camera but insisted he did not shock her. Instead, he suggested Kaya may have hurt herself, possibly stepping on something or clipping her dewclaw.
Many viewers and animal advocates criticized the streamer online, condemning what was perceived as harsh treatment of an innocent pet. Some memes even depicted Kaya experiencing electroshock in exaggerated or humorous ways.
The streamer clarified his use of the collar in a subsequent stream, stating that it only has a vibration setting and that he did not activate any shock function. He speculated that Kaya’s crying could have been caused by a minor injury, such as a hurt dewclaw, rather than the collar itself.
As of now, the streamer has not made further comments about the incident.
