Channing Tatum Reveals Truth About Roommate Past with Jax Taylor

Channing Tatum Denies Being Roommates with Jax Taylor

Channing Tatum has refuted claims that he once shared a room with Jax Taylor, a star of “Vanderpump Rules.” During a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live,” host Andy Cohen inquired whether Tatum was ever roommates with Taylor, whose real name is Jason Cauchi.

Tatum responded clearly, stating, “Absolutely not,” and chuckled at the suggestion.

Although Cohen mentioned that Taylor claimed they lived together when both were models, Tatum explained that he did live in a “model house,” a place where many models share small rooms with only beds, but he doesn’t recall Taylor being among them. Tatum added that he might not recognize Taylor from those days, as he was only briefly in a shared living situation, which ended after he was asked to leave following a fight with another resident.

When shown photos of Taylor, Tatum admitted he still didn’t recognize him and commented, “All models look the same, he’s a good-looking guy.” He also mentioned the possibility that he simply didn’t remember Taylor, as he was aware Taylor had mentioned the same story in a 2013 interview, recalling he was his first roommate in New York when he began modeling. Taylor, meanwhile, reaffirmed this in a 2023 interview, describing the housing situation as a model house.

Taylor’s claims date back to his appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” where he recounted sharing a room with Tatum early in his career. Although Tatum denies the shared living arrangement, the actor’s brief stint in the modeling house coincided with Taylor’s early modeling days, which Taylor described as a dorm-like environment with bunk beds.

Furthermore, Taylor shared that he and Tatum’s paths crossed briefly when Tatum landed a Mountain Dew commercial, which helped propel his acting career, including his role in “She’s the Man.” Amanda Bynes also remembered the commercial fondly, noting she fought for Tatum to join that film, believing he had star potential after his commercial success.
