Channing Tatum Responds to Jax Taylor’s Roommate Claim

Channing Tatum Denies Being Roommates with Jax Taylor

Channing Tatum has firmly refuted claims that he once shared a living space with Jax Taylor, best known from “Vanderpump Rules.” During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live,” host Andy Cohen inquired whether Tatum had been roommates with Taylor, whose real name is Jason Cauchi.

Tatum responded bluntly, “Absolutely not,” and chuckled. He explained that he did live in a “model house” early in his career, where several models shared small bedrooms, but he doesn’t recall ever crossing paths with Taylor. Tatum noted he was in such housing briefly before being evicted after a fight.

When shown photos of Taylor, Tatum clarified he didn’t recognize him, suggesting that many models look similar and that he might have confused him with others. The actor added that although he briefly lived with many young models, he doesn’t specifically remember Taylor.

Jax Taylor, who has claimed he and Tatum were roommates during their modeling days, previously repeated this story in a 2023 interview, describing his stay in a model house. He also claimed that Tatum stayed with him for a short time but left after his career began to take off, notably after landing a Mountain Dew commercial.

Taylor’s previous assertion was that they shared a room in New York around 2002. However, Tatum’s account suggests that he was only there for a short period, noting his rise with the commercial and an acting role in “She’s the Man,” alongside Amanda Bynes. Bynes once highlighted his fresh star quality, solely based on his Mountain Dew commercial.

Tatum’s representatives didn’t immediately comment, but the actor’s statements make it clear he was not Jax Taylor’s roommate during those years.
