JB Pritzker Sparks Trump Oval Office Meltdown
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker Challenges the Deployment of Military Forces in Chicago
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker criticized former President Donald Trump, claiming that he is intimidated by his presence. During a press conference with Chicago civic and political leaders, Pritzker announced that the state is suing to prevent Trump from deploying military forces in Chicago.
Pritzker accused Trump of attempting to create chaos to consolidate power, alleging that the former president believes chaos will help him circumvent the crisis he is perceived to have provoked. He emphasized that Illinois will oppose what he called a “power grab,” determined to stop any unauthorized military intervention in the city.
The governor declared, “They think they can manipulate us into accepting their rule during this crisis, but we won’t fall for it. We will use every legal tool available to prevent this power grab and keep Chicago safe from unlawful military actions.”
Pritzker noted that the court had given the Department of Justice two days to respond to the state’s temporary restraining order (TRO) motion, with a hearing scheduled for Thursday.
His stance appears to have rattled Trump, who responded in a manner the article describes as “delusional,” further escalating the ongoing tension over federal intervention in Chicago.
