JB Pritzker Debunks Kristi Noem’s ICE Lies in Chicago

Debates Over ICE Actions in Chicago

The approach taken by the Trump administration during city incursions tends to follow a pattern: deploying Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and National Guard personnel first, then releasing propaganda to obscure the truth before facts come to light.

Recently, Kristi Noem appeared on Fox News to defend ICE’s actions in Chicago amidst criticism from the city’s mayor, who called the operations dangerous and reckless. Noem claimed, “People on the streets are cheering as officers arrest criminals. Chicago is a war zone, and these accusations are misleading. Our efforts have made communities safer and more free.”

In contrast, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker responded on CNN, disputing Noem’s portrayal. He stated, “She doesn’t understand the situation. In Chicago, residents are booing ICE and CBP agents, not supporting them. Instead of targeting criminals, agents are detaining individuals based solely on race, which is unjust and unacceptable.”
