Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Split After 28 Years
Actress Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Separate After Nearly 28 Years of Marriage
After almost three decades together, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have decided to part ways and are currently living apart. A spokesperson confirmed the separation but clarified that no legal proceedings are underway.
The couple, married since November 27, 1997, shares two daughters: Olivia Jade, 26, and Isabella Rose, 27. They previously listed their Hidden Hills mansion for sale at $16.5 million.
Loughlin, best known for her role as Aunt Becky on the popular ’80s sitcom, served two months in federal prison following her involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal, where she and Giannulli paid $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission to USC as fake crew recruits. Giannulli completed his five-month sentence in April 2021.
In her first interview post-scandal, Loughlin emphasized the importance of forgiveness and letting go of negativity. “Stuff happens to everyone,” she shared, noting her family’s approach to mistakes and forgiveness as key to maintaining health and happiness.
Their marriage faced strains before the separation. Reports from 2019 indicated disagreements over their legal responses, including disputes about traveling arrangements to court. Despite the turmoil, Loughlin attributed their resilience to the ordeal, believing it strengthened their bond.
The two had previously faced other marital challenges, with reports suggesting tension during the scandal when they debated whether to take a private jet to court. At the time, some friends speculated she might divorce him, but she publicly stated they were growing stronger through the experience.
Throughout the ups and downs, Loughlin has focused on forgiveness and moving forward, highlighting her belief that life’s too short to harbor negativity.
