Josh Duggar’s Creepy Smile During Confrontation Over Abuse

Josh Duggar Confronted About Past Misconduct

Josh Duggar exhibited a disturbing smile when his cousin Amy Duggar approached him regarding allegations of molesting his sisters.

In 2015, it was publicly reported that Duggar, star of “19 Kids and Counting,” had inappropriate contact with five underage female victims—including four of his own sisters aged between 1 and 4—in the early 2000s. Duggar admitted to the actions, which occurred when he was a preteen, but he was never criminally charged.

According to excerpts from her upcoming memoir, Amy confronted Josh after the revelations surfaced. She asked why he had never attempted to harm her in a similar manner. She recalled that Josh responded with a creepy smile, telling her he “knew better” than to try to touch her.

When the misconduct was publicly revealed, Amy sought answers but found none. Determined to respect the victims’ stories, she contacted one of Josh’s other victims during her memoir-writing process. Her goal was to honor her and ensure her voice was represented.

Amy revealed she expects her memoir to shock many readers. She expressed her hope that Josh, now serving a 12-and-a-half-year prison sentence for child pornography, might have received help as a teenager if the abuse had been properly addressed. She also criticized the family’s handling of the situation, feeling that the misconduct was dismissed and not adequately dealt with.

Josh, who shares seven children with his wife Anna, is currently incarcerated, with family members reflecting on the management of his cases and their impact on victims.
