Trailer Released for the Sequel to the Disaster Film “Greenland”
The upcoming film “Greenland 2: Migration” is set to continue the story of survival following a catastrophic meteor impact. The sequel is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026, and the trailer offers a tense preview of the harrowing journey ahead.
Set five years after the initial disaster, the story follows the Garrity family as they attempt to escape a Greenland bunker amid ongoing meteor fragment bombardments. They undertake a perilous journey across the ocean toward a sanctuary believed to be inside an ancient crater in southern France.
The trailer depicts numerous challenges: a deadly radiation storm, massive waves, relentless meteor strikes, and confrontations with other desperate survivors. The story emphasizes themes of resilience, fate, and hope in the face of relentless disaster.
Returning to direct the film, Ric Roman Waugh reunites with the screenplay written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune. The cast includes Gerard Butler reprising his role as John Garrity, Morena Baccarin, Amber Rose Revah, Sophie Thompson, Trond Fausa Aurvag, and William Abadie.
