Prosecutors Call for Long Sentence for Sean “Diddy” Combs on Prostitution Charges

Prosecutors have recommended that Sean “Diddy” Combs be sentenced to at least 11 years in federal prison for his involvement in prostitution-related activities, highlighting the ongoing impact on his victims who live in fear. The 55-year-old hip-hop mogul is scheduled for sentencing after being convicted of arranging sex acts involving escorts who traveled across state lines during a trial this summer.

Additionally, authorities uncovered disturbing items in Combs’ home, including bottles of baby oil, personal lubricants, and sex toys, suggesting preparation for such activities. While he was acquitted of more severe charges like racketeering and sex trafficking, he faces a maximum of 20 years for the charges related to facilitating cross-state sex work. His defense lawyers argued for a lighter sentence of 14 months, citing his time served and the destruction of his career and reputation.

Victims’ testimonies, including a pregnant former girlfriend, reveal lasting trauma and fear of retaliation. Ventura expressed ongoing fears that Combs or his associates might seek retribution if he is released, prompting her to relocate her family out of the area.
