Jay Cutler Jail: Tennessee DUI Arrest of Kristin Cavallari’s Ex-Husband
Jay Cutler Begins Jail Sentence for DUI
Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has started a four-day stint in a Tennessee jail following a DUI conviction. He arrived at Williamson County Jail in Franklin around 8 a.m. local time and will remain incarcerated until Friday.
Cutler, who previously played for the Chicago Bears, was sentenced last month after pleading guilty to misdemeanor DUI in relation to an October 2024 incident, with prosecutors dismissing a gun possession charge after he forfeited the firearm. His penalties include a $350 fine, license revocation, and one year of supervised probation with regular drug testing.
Details from the arrest revealed officers found him visibly intoxicated, and two firearms, including a loaded pistol, were discovered in his vehicle. The incident involved Cutler rear-ending another car, with reports stating he attempted to flee the scene before police arrived. He allegedly offered to pay the other driver $2,000 to avoid calling authorities.
Following the sentencing, the other driver involved, Perry Lee, filed a lawsuit seeking compensation for medical expenses, pain, and suffering as a result of the collision. In addition, Lee claims to have suffered a loss of enjoyment of life due to the crash.
Cutler, 42, was previously arrested in Franklin for DUI, gun possession, failure to exercise due care, and violating implied consent laws. His car was identified as a white Ram truck, and police reported that he was intoxicated at the time.
His ex-wife, Kristin Cavallari, publicly addressed her concerns during her podcast, expressing hope that he will get the help he needs. The former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2022, shares three children: Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor.
