Why Madison LeCroy Was Eager to Return to ‘Southern Charm’ Post-Birth

Madison LeCroy Continues Filming During Postpartum After Welcoming Daughter Teddi

Just days after giving birth to her daughter Teddi on June 29, Madison LeCroy returned to filming the latest season of Southern Charm. The 34-year-old has been committed to her work, saying, “I went back to work immediately. It’s been great,” despite the challenges of postpartum life. She filmed the reality show while she was in labor, with no days off.

LeCroy announced her daughter’s birth during a live stream on Amazon on July 3. She describes her relationship with the Bravo series as a love-hate one, acknowledging that while some aspects are tough, the show also gives her a sense of purpose. Having her home in Charleston, SC, documented on camera has helped her stay active and engaged during her postpartum recovery, preventing feelings of boredom or uselessness.

LeCroy, who previously shared her son Hudson, 12, with her first husband Josh Hughes, finds living in front of the cameras to be second nature. She explains, “My job is my reality,” and feels comfortable with the exposure, having experienced many life changes on the reality TV platform—from being single and single mom to now being married and mothering a newborn.

She admits that, despite occasional frustration, filming provides her with an important outlet, particularly in the early postpartum days. The presence of her husband, Brett Randle, a firefighter, and their children, including Teddi, makes the experience more meaningful. She notes that their lives, including the filming of the show, align with her expectations, having anticipated and accepted the spotlight from the start.

By the time filming for Season 11 began in May, Madison was visibly pregnant and describes that period as particularly difficult, even calling it one of the worst experiences she’s faced, partly due to the heat and her physical state.
