Honey Boo Boo Involved in Car Accident, Sustains Minor Injuries

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was involved in a serious car crash this week, resulting in some minor injuries. Her mother, Mama June Shannon, shared that Alana was on her way to a hair appointment when her car was T-boned by another driver who was not paying attention.

According to Shannon, the accident happened around 3 p.m., and she received a distressing call from her son, Dralin, who was visibly pale. She explained that the crash occurred when another vehicle struck Alana’s car on the driver’s side. A 23-year-old driver admitted to going about 40 miles per hour at the time of the collision.

Despite the severity of the incident, Shannon reported that her daughter was “fine” but had to be taken to the hospital due to back pain and a headache. She added that Alana was lucky as the impact could have been much worse, and she was now resting at home while recovering from her injuries.

Shannon also shared that her daughter, who is currently studying nursing at Regis University in Denver, had to miss her first day of clinicals due to the accident. She was advised to rest and recover at home, which delayed her start in the program.

Shannon expressed gratitude that the accident was not worse, noting that surveillance footage shows Alana yielding to traffic seconds before the collision. She emphasized that if her daughter had pulled out any faster, the outcome could have been significantly more serious.
