Marcus Rashford Wants to Play with Lamine Yamal at Barcelona—Man United Outcast’s Brother in Talks!
Marcus Rashford Expresses Interest in Hosting Lamine Yamal at Barcelona
Marcus Rashford has publicly shared his aspiration to team up with teenage star Lamine Yamal at Barcelona, amid ongoing transfer talks involving his potential move from Manchester United.
Rashford has long been interested in joining Barcelona, with his brother Dwaine Maynard holding discussions with club director Deco last month regarding a possible £40million transfer.
While Barcelona has now shifted focus to acquire Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, Rashford took the initiative by speaking with Spanish influencer Javi Ruiz in Marbella about his future prospects.
When asked about playing alongside Yamal, Rashford responded: “Of course, I would love to. Everyone wants to play with the best. Let’s see what happens.” His move away from United seems likely after a fallout with manager Ruben Amorim, with the player prioritizing a switch to Spain.
He added, “Spain is nice, and it’s not too far from home. The weather’s good too.”
Barcelona’s sporting director Deco revealed last month that Rashford is among the players the club “likes,” and later met with his agent to discuss potential transfer terms. Rashford, under contract at United for three more years, is eager to leave, especially with his recent loan spell at Aston Villa and a desire to participate in the Champions League.
United are open to offers around £40 million, and any sale would benefit their Financial Fair Play calculations. However, Barcelona’s focus on acquiring Nico Williams complicates Rashford’s transfer plans. The player hopes to secure a move that aligns with his ambitions and club needs.
Rashford’s ultimate goal is to compete in the Champions League and earn a place in England’s squad for the upcoming World Cup, having been previously called up for international duty before missing recent fixtures due to injury.
