Joshua Jahn’s Family Denies Dallas Shooter Hated ICE Despite FBI Findings
Dallas Shooting Suspect’s Family Denies Political Extremism
The family of Joshua Jahn, who carried out a shooting near a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, has stated that he was not driven by anti-immigrant or far-left political motives. Despite having written anti-ICE sentiments on an unspent bullet casing and a note found by the FBI, relatives emphasized he was not a radical activist.
A family member, speaking from his parents’ home during an FBI interview, expressed profound grief over the incident, saying, “Everyone is devastated.” The relative refused to comment further, citing the need for the family to process the tragedy.
When asked about Jahn’s alleged anti-ICE stance, the relative clarified, “It has nothing to do with that,” but did not provide additional details. He also denied that Jahn was a far-left ideologue, despite evidence suggesting political motivations.
