Florida Bartender Arrested After Stabbing Patron Over Bar Tab

A Florida bartender, described as “grumpy,” was taken into custody following a violent stabbing incident at a bar in Orlando. The altercation began over a disagreement about drinks and escalated when the bartender, Jason Wilfredo Rosario, 30, stabbed a patron multiple times.

According to police reports, the incident unfolded outside the bar after the victim challenged Rosario about a disputed bill for drinks he hadn’t received. Despite attempts by the bar manager to resolve the situation, Rosario assaulted the patron using offensive language, including insulting comments about the victim’s deceased mother.

The verbal fight turned physical when Rosario reportedly asked to take the argument outside. The victim then punched Rosario, knocking him to the ground, which led Rosario to pull out a knife and slash the man’s back multiple times. The attack was so swift that the victim was unaware he had been stabbed.

Witnesses and a woman at the scene noted the violence, with her discovering blood on her hands after the incident. Rosario fled the scene but was later identified by the victim in a lineup and recognized by the bar owner, who knew him as “Joc Hip Hop” and described him as “hotheaded.”

The victim was hospitalized, and though in stable condition, his exact status remains unknown. Authorities quickly responded, issuing an arrest warrant for Rosario on attempted second-degree murder charges. He was detained and is being held without bond at the Orange County Jail.
