Charlie Sheen Reveals the One Dr:u:g He Hasn’t Tried
Charlie Sheen Reflects on Overcoming a Tumultuous Past in His New Memoir
Charlie Sheen is grateful simply for the chance to tell his story. His memoir, The Book of Sheen, reveals moments from his birth—claiming he was born dead, strangled by the umbilical cord and then revived. He recounts early experiences, including losing his virginity at 15 to a Vegas prostitute paid for with his father Martin Sheen’s credit card.
The book is packed with accounts of drug abuse, nearly fatal overdoses, and multiple rehab stints, including his HIV diagnosis in 2011. Despite a history of substance misuse, Sheen has celebrated eight years of sobriety and celibacy, feeling deeply thankful as he recently turned 60. He celebrated with family and a relaxing spa visit with one of his sons.
Sheen acknowledges that he’s often been caught in a destructive cycle—hitting rock bottom, then rebounding with positivity, only to burn out again. He reflects on the infamous period of chaos in 2011, when he left the sitcom Two and a Half Men amidst drug rehab and multiple public outbursts, including wild claims about having “tiger blood” and being a “warlock.”
Despite these lows, Sheen notes that those around him are grateful but cautious. He also addresses his estranged daughter Sami, revealing they haven’t spoken in a year following disagreements over her career on OnlyFans. Blaming his past substance use and excess testosterone, he hopes to restore communication someday.
Married and divorced multiple times, he remains positive about the future. He emphasizes that decisions—good or bad—are ultimately his and that his life’s story is about choices, not victimhood. Sheen sees himself as a man trying to find his way back home, hoping others can relate to his journey of redemption and self-awareness.
