Jon Reep, ‘Last Comic Standing’ Winner, Faces Child Sex Crime Charges

Comedian Jon Reep Faces Charges of Exploiting a Minor

Stand-up comedian and winner of the fifth season of “Last Comic Standing,” Jon Reep, has been formally charged with multiple counts related to the sexual exploitation of minors. The 53-year-old, known for appearances on shows like “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Black-ish,” was arrested at his home in Hickory, North Carolina, following a police investigation prompted by a cyber tip about a suspicious online account believed to be linked to him.

Court documents reveal allegations of sexual exploitation involving children aged between 1 and 14 years old. Authorities conducted a search warrant on Reep’s residence, which led to the seizure of electronic devices for further examination of potential illegal online activity. Reep faces one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and nine counts of third-degree exploitation.

According to police, the investigation was initiated after law enforcement traced the suspicious online activities back to Reep’s IP address, leading to his immediate arrest. The devices collected are under analysis for additional evidence of illegal communications.

He had been scheduled to perform at the Paramount Theater in Goldsboro, North Carolina, but his upcoming show has now been postponed.
