Shocking! Minnesota Politicians’ Homes Targeted—Donations Flood In Amid Crisis!

Suspect Charged in Minnesota Lawmakers Shooting. Online Fundraisers Exceed $400,000

Following a violent attack on Minnesota legislators, online donation campaigns have raised nearly $400,000 to support the victims and their families. In the days after the incident, community members launched fundraisers to help cover medical and recovery costs.

Two days after the shooting that injured state Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, a local elementary school’s PTO started a GoFundMe for their recovery. The campaign quickly surpassed its $210,000 goal, raising close to $185,000 to aid with medical expenses, rehabilitation, lost income, and security upgrades.

Yvette Hoffman was discharged from the hospital Thursday, while Senator John Hoffman remained in critical but stable condition. They expressed gratitude to donors for their support.

Yvette, who was shot eight times during the attack, was released from the hospital shortly after the incident, while her husband, shot nine times, was still in critical condition but stable. The Hoffmans publicly thanked donors for helping them begin healing from the trauma.

They also expressed sorrow over the deaths of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, who were killed during the attack. Their daughter, Hope, attended school with Melissa’s daughter, Sophie. A separate GoFundMe campaign for the Hortman children has raised over $195,000 to support them during this difficult time.

The suspect, Vance Luther Boelter, faces federal charges for stalking and murder. Authorities allege he had a cache of automatic weapons and a hit list targeting 45 officials and abortion providers in Minnesota. Boelter has not yet entered a plea.
