‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Begins Test Filming Without Teresa Giudice

Production of the Latest Season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Begins Without Teresa Giudice

Test filming for the upcoming 15th season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” has reportedly commenced, notably without cast member Teresa Giudice. According to insiders, new potential cast members participated in the initial filming sessions alongside veteran stars Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, and Melissa Gorga in mid-August. The network is evaluating how well these newcomers perform on camera with established cast members.

While Giudice, 53, was absent from these test shoots, she remains under consideration for the new season, along with friends Jackie Goldschneider and Jen Fessler. A possible addition to the cast is podcast host Michelle Barone, who has close ties to Giudice and Goldschneider.

Test filming is a standard procedure in reality TV production, serving as a precursor to official casting decisions. A spokesperson for Bravo stated that no formal cast choices have been made yet.

Previously, Bravo’s Andy Cohen confirmed that casting efforts for “Jersey” were active, despite a recent pause. Cohen assured fans that the series remains a significant franchise and is not in jeopardy of cancellation. Last season’s cast included Giudice, Gorga, Catania, and others, but the group is expected to undergo changes soon, as Cohen revealed the show was undergoing a major reboot after its Season 14 finale and unconventional reunion.

The franchise was paused after the last season, with discussions of a major reboot ongoing.

The decision to put filming on hold was announced in August, with insiders suggesting that production would likely not resume until 2025. Viewership had declined to a new series low during Season 14, leading to a reevaluation of the show’s future.
