Nancy Mace Calls for Prince Andrew in Handcuffs After Epstein Victims Meeting
Calls for Prince Andrew’s Prosecution Rise Amid Victims’ Testimonies
Congresswoman Nancy Mace has publicly advocated for Prince Andrew to be detained and prosecuted, suggesting he belongs in a “cold dark cell” for any crimes committed on U.S. soil. Her tweet came shortly after she exited a closed-door meeting with Jeffrey Epstein survivors, during which she was visibly emotional.
Prince Andrew, a member of the British royal family, has faced longstanding allegations of sexual misconduct involving Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claimed she was abused by him at age 17. Although Andrew settled a civil lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022 for an undisclosed sum, he continues to deny the allegations.
Mace expressed her stance on Twitter, emphasizing the importance of accountability: “Now seems like a good time to discuss prosecuting Prince Andrew for any and all potential crimes on US soil.” She also suggested shifting focus toward prosecuting other predators, advocating for victims’ healing process.
Giuffre, a high-profile survivor of Epstein’s abuse network, took her own life in April 2025. Mace, who has spoken publicly about her own experience as a sexual assault survivor, shared that the testimonies from Epstein victims caused her to have a severe panic attack during the meeting, describing symptoms like sweating, hyperventilating, and shaking.
In her follow-up statement, she reiterated her support for victims, stating, “I feel the immense pain of how hard all victims are fighting for themselves because we know absolutely no one will fight for us. GOD BLESS ALL SURVIVORS.”
