Nancy Mace Calls for Prince Andrew to Be Handcuffed After Epstein Victims Meeting
Rep. Nancy Mace Calls for Prince Andrew’s Arrest Following Controversial Meeting
Congresswoman Nancy Mace has publicly demanded that Prince Andrew be detained in “handcuffs,” echoing her recent emotional departure from a closed-door session with victims of Jeffrey Epstein. In a post on X, she stated, “Now is an appropriate time to consider prosecuting Prince Andrew for any crimes committed on U.S. soil. A cold, dark cell and handcuffs send the correct message.”
Prince Andrew has faced longstanding allegations of sexual misconduct, notably accused by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claimed he assault her when she was 17. The royal, who settled a civil lawsuit in 2022 with an undisclosed payment, has consistently denied the accusations. Mace suggested that pursuing legal action against him should follow the release of certain files related to Epstein’s case: “Perhaps after we release the files, we can focus on prosecuting predators and allow victims and the nation to heal.”
Giuffre, who died by suicide in April 2025, had previously spoken out about her allegations against Prince Andrew. She accused him of sexually abusing her at 17, a claim backed by court documents and public statements. Mace added that the royal belongs in “a cold dark cell,” emphasizing her stance on accountability for his actions.
The congresswoman, who has openly shared her own experience with sexual assault, was visibly distressed after attending the victims’ meeting. She described experiencing a panic attack during the session, overwhelmed by the horrifying stories shared there. She wrote on X: “Listening to their stories triggered a full-blown panic attack—sweating, hyperventilating, shaking—I couldn’t breathe.” Mace expressed empathy for survivors and acknowledged the ongoing fight they face for justice. “I feel the immense pain of victims fighting for themselves, knowing that many of us feel abandoned by the system. GOD BLESS all survivors.”
