Neymar Leaves Billionaire’s Fortune in Will to Unmet Brazilian Man

Neymar Receives Unexpected Inheritance from Unfamiliar Brazilian Billionaire

A wealthy Brazilian has reportedly bequeathed his entire estate to football star Neymar, despite the two supposedly never having met. The will, formalized at an office in Porto Alegre and signed on June 12 with witnesses present, dedicates a staggering sum of approximately £846 million (around $1 billion) to the 33-year-old forward.

The identity of the benefactor remains unknown, but the billionaire was said to be from Brazil and childless, possibly choosing Neymar due to his close family ties and admiration for his relationship with his father, Neymar Sr. The inheritance is now subject to approval by Brazilian courts to confirm Neymar as the legitimate heir.

The motivation behind the gift is believed to stem from the billionaire’s personal admiration for Neymar’s family values. The footballer has not publicly addressed the news, and legal procedures could complicate the estate’s transfer even if approved.

In the past, Neymar has shown a deep connection to his roots, returning to his boyhood club Santos in January after an unsuccessful stint with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal. He scored three goals in 14 appearances this season and has expressed his desire to secure a spot in Brazil’s national team for the upcoming World Cup. Neymar emphasized his affection for Santos, describing it as his home and the place where he grew as both a player and a person.

Despite previous injuries, including an ACL tear in October 2023, Neymar remains Brazil’s top scorer with 79 goals and aims to have a sustained presence at Santos, where he feels truly at home. His return marks a significant chapter in his career, as he seeks to fulfill his long-standing ambitions on the pitch.
