Fact-checkers traced the origin of this rumor to a tweet by a strongly anti-Trump foreign policy reporter who shared a misleading screenshot of the White House schedule, implying Trump had been unseen for two days. Her post received over 34 million views, spawning numerous imitators who suggested it was cover-up evidence or signs of health issues.
