SpaceX Launches 28 New Starlink Satellites from Cape Canaveral

SpaceX successfully deployed a new batch of 28 Starlink satellites into orbit, continuing its rapid expansion of the satellite internet constellation. The launch took place at 7:56 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The Falcon 9 rocket carried the satellites into low-Earth orbit (LEO), with deployment occurring approximately an hour after liftoff.

The mission, designated Starlink 10-22, marked the 14th launch of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 booster B1083. About 2.5 minutes after launch, the rocket’s first stage completed its main engine cutoff and stage separation. Following deceleration and controlled landing burns, the booster touched down gently on the “A Shortfall of Gravitas” droneship in the Atlantic Ocean around six minutes later.

This launch is the 113th mission for SpaceX in 2025 and is part of a busy week with five scheduled Starlink missions to expand the constellation further. Currently, over 8,100 Starlink satellites operate in orbit, providing high-speed, low-latency internet access to users worldwide.
