TikTok Influencer Films Her Own ICE Arrest
Influencer Arrested During Live Stream for Reporting ICE Activity
A TikTok influencer who gained attention for broadcasting ICE operations in Los Angeles has been detained by federal authorities after being found in the country illegally. The 24-year-old Colombian national, Tatiana Martinez, was arrested on August 15 while in her apartment parking lot.
Martinez’s lawyer, Carlos Jurado, claimed she was targeted for using her social media platform, which has over 47,000 followers, to livestream ICE raids. He stated she was hesitant to exit her vehicle during the arrest, requesting the officers to show a warrant, which they did not produce.
Jurado suggested that her filming of ICE activities made her a target. However, law enforcement sources indicated Martinez entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 and was released into the country. Subsequently, she was convicted of a DUI, which led to her federal detention.
During her arrest, she lost consciousness and was hospitalized. Following treatment, she was transferred to a federal detention center near the Mexican border in Calexico. Jurado visited her there, noting her physical injuries from the arrest, including visible bruises.
“She was really happy to see someone,” Jurado shared. “I could still see bruises on her body from the arrest.”
