Bethenny Frankel on North West’s Controversial Corset
Bethenny Frankel Responds to Criticism Over North West’s Outfit
Bethenny Frankel has weighed in on the controversy surrounding a recent outfit worn by North West, Kim Kardashian’s 12-year-old daughter. Critics questioned Kardashian’s parenting for allowing North to wear a corset and miniskirt during a family vacation in Italy.
In a TikTok video, Frankel remarked, “She’s wearing a corset, but you can’t really see anything. She’s 12 years old.” She emphasized her opinion that North is a child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, highlighting the unique parenting structure they have established. Frankel added that given the family’s strong bond, it’s unreasonable for outsiders to expect North to wear typical children’s clothing, joking, “If they shopped at T.J. Maxx, you’d be criticizing that.”
Frankel also shared her perspective on online comments, stating, “Kids are off limits. I didn’t like it when they targeted Blue Ivy or my own child, and I won’t tolerate criticism of children in general.”
She further mentioned her 15-year-old daughter, Bryn, who has expressed disapproval of North’s expensive fashion choices, such as designer jewelry and accessories like a Vivienne Westwood purse. Frankel predicted North will face challenges ahead, saying she’s entering the “impact zone” of adolescence and describing her as giving Kardashian “a run for her money.”
Frankel also commented on the role of parenting in teaching children how to express style without sexual objectification. “It’s our job to protect minors,” she emphasized, referencing a public dispute with “Supernanny” Jo Frost about the boundaries of children’s clothing choices. Ultimately, Frankel urged respect for children’s boundaries, asserting, “Kids are off limits regardless of who they are or what they wear.”
While Kardashian has not publicly addressed the headlines regarding North’s outfit, the discussion continues to spark debate on social media about parenting, fashion, and childhood innocence.
