Jackson Refuses Chelsea Return After Loan to Bayern Is Canceled

Angry Nicolas Jackson Doesn’t Want to Return to Chelsea After Loan to Bayern Cancelled

Nicolas Jackson is reportedly frustrated and does not want to go back to Chelsea, despite the club canceling his loan move to Bayern Munich.

Jackson was cleared to join Bayern on loan and was even permitted to fly to Germany. However, Chelsea intervened and called off the deal after fellow striker Liam Delap was injured during a match against Fulham.

Sources in Senegal reveal that Jackson is determined to ensure that his loan move to Bayern still happens. Meanwhile, Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl stated that Jackson and his agent will be instructed to return to London, confirming that the player remains Chelsea’s property.

Initially, Bayern was prepared to pay a record loan fee of £13 million, with an option to buy the player for £56 million plus a sell-on clause. Despite this, Chelsea has now told Bayern that the loan is off and that Jackson cannot undergo a medical.

Impact of Injury and Future Prospects

Following Delap’s injury, Chelsea’s coach Enzo Maresca mentioned that the situation was uncertain, and the club would decide on the next steps after evaluating the player’s condition. Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, has made 81 appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 12 assists, but has seen his role diminish with new signings this summer.

Despite the setback, Jackson’s contract with Chelsea runs until 2033. The player had voiced his desire to explore other options, leading to his exclusion from pre-season matches and the club’s opening league fixtures.

With Bayern eager to add depth, particularly as a backup to Harry Kane, the situation remains unresolved, and Jackson’s future at Chelsea is uncertain amid his visible dissatisfaction.
