Reflecting on her recent trip with Payne, Cassidy shared that she had been traveling with him for two weeks before his death but left two days prior to return home with her dog. Payne reportedly behaved erratically in the days leading up to his passing, and Cassidy later expressed her grief, saying in a heartfelt message, “Nothing about the past few days has felt real. I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private. Liam, my angel… I loved you unconditionally and will love you forever.”

Payne tragically died last October after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. Drugs were found in his system, and some individuals are facing criminal charges related to his death. Cassidy, who was vacationing with Payne before the incident, shared that they had plans to get married, which she revealed after his passing. She also mentioned they had discussed marriage just weeks before he died.

In early 2025, she appeared upset when recalling her final memories with Payne and later got a tattoo of angel wings to honor his memory. Her ongoing tribute underscores her deep love and lasting grief for him.
