Illinois Prepares to Fight Trump’s Invasion
Illinois Responds to Potential Federal Intervention in Chicago
Officials in Illinois have made it clear they do not welcome federal involvement in addressing crime within Chicago. Despite rumors that former President Donald Trump may deploy federal resources to the city, state leaders emphasize that they have not requested or coordinated any such assistance.
During a Saturday morning interview, Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton stated, “We will not be getting out of the way. We will be doing everything to protect the people of Illinois and stand up for our neighbors.”
She criticized the Trump administration’s actions, describing them as manufactured chaos aimed at destabilizing Chicago and Illinois. Stratton reaffirmed that the state has not asked for federal help and has not engaged in any discussions about such plans. “We have stood united and spoken with a strong voice — we do not want or need their involvement,” she said.
Stratton also rejected claims that there is an emergency requiring federal intervention, asserting that Illinois will continue to follow the law and prioritize the safety of its residents independently.
