The transfer concludes Newcastle’s lengthy summer pursuit of a new striker. Previously, the club made two unsuccessful offers for Wolverhampton’s Jorgen Strand-Larsen, which were rejected. The focus now shifts to Woltemade, who impressed in this year’s Under-21 European Championship and has recently been linked with Bayern Munich.
