Attendees shared memories, emphasizing that Burrell would have wanted everyone to smile and find joy despite their grief. Inside Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home, her husband, Stuart Claxton, received comfort from those present.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of Burrell’s death, as investigations continue. The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office is awaiting toxicology results to clarify her sudden passing.

Burrell’s body was discovered at her Brooklyn residence near several pills. While the presence of medication suggests a potential factor, officials clarified that the cause of death remains unconfirmed.

Additional prominent figures, including chef Amanda Freitag and Marc Murphy, were also seen supporting Burrell’s family during the service.

A representative from FDNY indicated that a 911 call reported Anne Burrell experienced cardiac arrest before her passing. She was declared dead at the scene.
