Lionel Richie’s Home Burglar Caught After Attempted Heist in Beverly Hills
Suspect Arrested in Attempted Burglary at Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills Residence
A 38-year-old man was taken into custody following an attempted break-in at a mansion believed to belong to Lionel Richie in Beverly Hills, California. The Beverly Hills Police arrested the suspect near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Beverly Glen Boulevard early Friday morning.
The authorities have not officially confirmed that the residence targeted was Richie’s, but multiple reports indicate that the property in question is associated with the music icon. The arrest occurred shortly after officers responded to a call about a midnight burglary in the area. The suspect was apprehended a few blocks from the scene, and it is believed that the alarm system at the house caused the intruder to flee. Fortunately, no items were reported stolen during the incident.
Richie’s representatives did not immediately comment on the situation. The incident is part of a rising trend of burglaries targeting celebrities in California. Recently, other high-profile homes, including Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles mansion and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s estate, were also targeted, though in some cases no items were stolen or the suspects were scared off by security systems.
In other recent cases, burglaries have occurred at properties of various celebrities, including a notable break-in at a Kansas City mansion where approximately $20,000 in cash was stolen from Travis Kelce’s residence. Authorities and fans continue to express concern over security at celebrity homes amid ongoing property crimes in the region.
