Jude Bellingham’s Dad Confronts Jobe’s Manager After Sub at Half-Time
Jude Bellingham’s father Attempted to Confront Dortmund Manager After Son’s Substitution
The father of Jude Bellingham reportedly tried to confront the manager of his other son, Jobe Bellingham, following his son’s substitution at half-time during Borussia Dortmund’s challenging Bundesliga opener.
Jobe, 19, who transferred to Dortmund this summer for £32 million from Sunderland, started the match against St Pauli but was replaced at the break due to an ineffective first half. The decision by Dortmund’s coach, Niko Kovac, did not sit well with Jobe’s parents, Mark and Denise, who waited in the tunnel afterward. Mark, who also acts as Jobe’s advisor, engaged in an emotional discussion with Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl.
Sources indicate that Mark Bellingham expressed his frustration concerning both the substitution and the team’s overall poor performance. Reports also suggest that Mark sought a direct meeting with Kovac and was outspoken about his opinions.
Some Dortmund players noticed Mark’s emotional state, which was fueled by his son’s early removal and the team’s disappointing display, as Dortmund had led 3-1 before conceding twice in the final moments, drawing 3-3 at Hamburg.
Kehl later emphasized that the dressing room area is strictly for players and staff, reaffirming club policies. Jobe, who previously appeared in other competitions for Dortmund, made his Bundesliga debut but was on the pitch for only 45 minutes.
