Senne Lammens Likely Out of Royal Antwerp Game as Manchester United Move Nears
Senne Lammens Likely to Miss Royal Antwerp Match as Move to Manchester United Nears Completion
Goalkeeper Senne Lammens has been excluded from Royal Antwerp’s squad for their upcoming match against Mechelen, amid reports that he is close to transferring to Manchester United.
According to a recent article, Lammens is not part of the team for Sunday’s game as negotiations for his move to Old Trafford are nearing finalization. The transfer deal is reported to be valued at around £17 million.
Manchester United has been seeking to bolster their squad’s goalkeeping options during the summer transfer window, aiming to add competition for their current first-choice goalkeeper, Andre Onana. Onana, who had a quieter start in Manchester, was replaced in the squad last weekend by Altay Bayindir after not featuring in the Premier League opener.
Bayindir’s debut, however, was not entirely convincing, as he was responsible for conceding a goal in a 1-0 defeat, highlighting the need for strengthened competition between the posts.
