Emmanuel Haro’s Parents Arrested on Murder Charges Over Fake Baby Snatch Story

Parents of Missing Infant Emmanuel Haro Arrested on Murder Charges

Law enforcement officers arrested Jake and Rebecca Haro at their residence in Cabazon, California, early Friday morning, on charges of murder, following their earlier claims that their 7-month-old son, Emmanuel, had been kidnapped. Authorities have since dismissed those claims, stating there was no kidnapping.

The baby’s mother had insisted Emmanuel was taken outside a sporting goods store in Yucaipa on August 14. However, investigators confirmed that no kidnapping occurred and now believe Emmanuel is deceased.

Extensive investigations, including interviews, search warrants, and analysis of digital evidence, led authorities to conclude there was no kidnapping. The search to locate Emmanuel’s remains continues.

Authorities raided the Haro home with tactical vehicles and served multiple warrants, reviewing surveillance footage as part of the investigation. Both parents appeared disheveled and unemotional during their arrests—Rebecca, dressed in black shorts, a white tank top, and flip-flops, was the first to be taken into custody, followed by her husband, barefoot, in striped shorts and a white shirt.
