Man Arrested After Drone Crash with Drugs in Florida

A man in Florida was taken into custody after allegedly flying a drone loaded with drugs into a residential property in Lutz.

Homeowners reported that a man, later identified as Jason Brooks, crashed his drone into their house and then appeared at their doorstep. The homeowners then handed the drone over to deputies, who discovered multiple bags of narcotics, including methamphetamine and fentanyl, inside the device.

Bodycam footage shows Brooks explaining to officers that he believed his drone might have ended up in the backyard before he was detained. He was wearing a red baseball cap and a white tank top during the arrest. The seized bags had handwritten labels, indicating they contained controlled substances.
