Florida Man’s Crazy Escape: Broke In, Ran Bath & Cooked Dinner to Flee Angry Wife!
Man Breaks Into House to Avoid Wife After Fight
A man in Florida bypassed his home life by sneaking into a stranger’s house and staying there for several days, all to avoid an angry spouse following an argument.
The incident unfolded in Davenport, where a neighbor asked deputies to investigate suspicious activity at a residence on June 9. The neighbor was volunteering as a watch for the unoccupied home.
When authorities arrived, they found 44-year-old Joe preparing dinner and relaxing in a bathtub he had just filled. He admitted to being inside the house without permission and claimed he didn’t know who owned the property.
Joe explained that he broke into the home following a fight with his wife four days earlier, choosing to hide out rather than return home and face her anger. Despite his reasoning, he faced multiple charges, including felony unarmed burglary, misdemeanor petit theft, and domestic battery.
