Man Arrested After Using Stolen Credit Cards to Purchase Over $31,000 in Meat

A resident of Paradise, California, was taken into custody after authorities uncovered he used stolen credit cards to buy thousands of dollars worth of meat from a wholesale supplier.

Juan Yepez-Garcia, 51, was identified following an investigation into multiple purchases made at Sierra Meat and Seafood in Reno. The transactions involved stolen credit card information, leading police to trace the stolen items back to his address. It was revealed that Yepez-Garcia allegedly arranged several fake deliveries of meat valued at approximately $31,883.79.

Authorities reported that Yepez-Garcia admitted to officers that he suspected the meat he was receiving was stolen. The delivery driver involved was unaware of the fraudulent activity and was released without charges.
