Viktor Gyokeres Prepared to Wait for Arsenal, Despite Contract Dispute with Sporting Lisbon

The Sporting Lisbon striker is expected to be patient as he seeks a transfer to Arsenal this summer. However, a dispute has arisen over the actual fee, with Sporting reportedly holding out for a higher amount, citing Gyokeres’ €100 million release clause.

Apparently, Gyokeres and his representatives are willing to wait until the end of the transfer window for a potential deal with Arsenal to materialize. The player’s camp insists they have evidence, including a believed audio message from Sporting’s former sporting director confirming the agreement for €60 million. The situation has caused frustration within Sporting, with reports that Gyokeres has threatened to go on strike and is displeased with the club’s current stance.

Gyokeres’s remarkable goal-scoring record has attracted interest from several top clubs, and he is open to moves to clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, or Bayern Munich, as well as City and Liverpool.
