Tristan Rogers, renowned for his long-standing role as Robert Scorpio on the soap opera General Hospital, has died at the age of 79.

His manager, Meryl Soodak, shared that Rogers was passionate about portraying Scorpio, a role he developed from the ground up. “He loved being Scorpio and he created that role from nothing,” Soodak stated. “He was meant to work a day and ended up making it into something iconic. He was a genuinely loyal, kind person and deeply loved his family.”

Frank Valentini, the show’s Executive Producer, expressed his condolences, saying, “The entire General Hospital family is heartbroken to hear of Tristan Rogers’ passing.” He highlighted Rogers’ 45-year dedication to the series, noting that Port Charles would not be the same without him. “Tristan was a one-of-a-kind talent and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.”
