Bernie Sanders Hits the Midwest with His Fighting Oligarchy Tour

Senator Bernie Sanders Continues “Fighting Oligarchy” Tour in the Midwest

Large crowds have gathered at the recent rallies organized by Senator Bernie Sanders across 17 states, part of his ongoing “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” tour. The initiative aims to rally support among working-class Americans around issues of economic inequality and wealth concentration among the wealthy elite.

Crowd at Sanders rally

Bernie Sanders announced upcoming rallies scheduled for the following weekend in the Midwest, revealing plans to energize voters in key Republican-held districts. He will visit four states over three days, including rural Viroqua, Wisconsin, for a town hall with congressional candidate Rebecca Cooke. Sanders will also hold rallies in Davenport, Iowa, and Kalamazoo, Michigan, where he will be joined by U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. The trip concludes with an event in Chicago featuring Congresswoman Delia Ramirez and State Senator Robert Peters, both running for re-election or Congressional seats.

The rallies have become the largest series of events hosted by an elected official in 2025, with participation surpassing previous efforts. In fact, more than two-thirds of those RSVP’d are new attendees, and a third of them are not Democrats. This indicates a widening appeal, especially among those concerned about economic inequality, regardless of party affiliation.

The growing turnout suggests that the American public is becoming increasingly eager to challenge oligarchic power and reclaim economic fairness. The success of Sanders’ tour highlights a rising momentum among voters to confront issues of wealth disparity and corporate dominance.
