Shocking NYC Video Shows Bystanders Pleading for Help During Bronx Shooting That Killed Victor Bautista!

Victim Fatally Shot During Bronx Dispute

A security camera footage captures the final moments of Victor Bautista, a 38-year-old man fatally shot in the Bronx following a confrontation. The incident occurred near Trinity Avenue and East 149th Street around 7:45 a.m. during an altercation that escalated to gunfire.

In the video, a bystander frantically urges Bautista to breathe and assures him, “I got you, I got you,” as he attempts to stop the bleeding and revive him. The person also urges Bautista to stay with them and calls out, “Open your eyes, bro! Oh my God! Get up.”

As the crowd shouts for emergency help, Bautista’s pulse begins to weaken, and panic sets in among witnesses. Despite efforts to perform CPR, Bautista’s condition worsens, and he eventually collapses, hitting his head on the street. Police officers later arrive and take over resuscitation attempts.

Another surveillance clip from a nearby bodega shows Bautista in a heated argument that turns physical before he is shot. Moments later, a man in a high-visibility vest fires at him, striking him in the chest. The gunman then flees across the street, leaving Bautista injured and immobilized. He is eventually pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.

The owner of the bodega, which Bautista was near, has been part of the community for ten years. An organization representing local bodegas advocates for increased security measures, including panic buttons, to prevent such tragedies. They also call for the NYPD to have real-time access to surveillance footage, emphasizing the need for faster response times to prevent further violence.

Authorities have yet to identify or apprehend the suspect responsible for the shooting.
