SpaceX Launches 28 New Starlink Satellites from Florida
28 New Starlink Satellites Launched by SpaceX
A fresh batch of 28 Starlink satellites has been launched into orbit following a Falcon 9 rocket deployment from Florida earlier today.
The Falcon 9 vehicle lifted off at 8:29 a.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40. Roughly an hour and four minutes later, the satellites were successfully released into low Earth orbit.
SpaceX confirmed the satellite deployment via its social media account, confirming the successful arrival of the 28 new broadband relays.
The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket, designated Booster 1085, completed its tenth flight today. It successfully landed on the drone ship after powering the descent from its orbit, demonstrating SpaceX’s reusability capabilities.
This launch marked the second Starlink deployment within 12 hours. Earlier, another Falcon 9 launched 24 satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Station in California, bringing SpaceX’s active Starlink fleet to over 8,100 satellites.
Overall, this mission was SpaceX’s 99th Falcon 9 launch in 2025 and the 517th since 2010. It also marked the 453rd time a Falcon first stage has been reused and the 488th landing of a booster.
