Sheriff Warns Troublesome Travis Decker Is a Dangerous Threat, Fears Supporters Will Help Him Escape!
Fugitive Dad Still on the Run After Alleged Murder of His Three Daughters
The sheriff overseeing the search for Travis Decker, who is accused of killing his three daughters, warns that misguided sympathizers might be aiding him in avoiding capture.
Chelan County Sheriff Michael Morrison expressed concern as the 32-year-old homeless veteran remains at large nearly three weeks after his young daughters were found dead at a campsite in Washington state. The children, Olivia (5), Evelyn (8), and Paityn (9), were discovered with plastic bags over their heads and zip ties around their wrists near Decker’s abandoned vehicle on June 2.
Sheriff Morrison indicated the possibility that Decker might have received help, noting, “There’s potential that he could have staged supplies beforehand.” He emphasized the danger Decker poses, having been charged with three counts of murder, and urged the public to refrain from interference with the investigation. “Those who are sympathetic to him are misguided — we need to do our job,” the sheriff stated.
Decker’s dog was found abandoned at the scene and handed over to the Humane Society. Previously, authorities collected a significant amount of evidence, including human and non-human blood samples, from Decker’s truck near the campground.
Sheriff Morrison expressed hope of capturing Decker alive to face justice, stating, “We want his daughters’ voices to be heard and for him to be held accountable.” A $20,000 reward has been offered by the U.S. Marshals Service for information leading to Decker’s arrest. He is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is warned not to approach him, but to call 911 or contact the Marshals immediately.
