Zoë Kravitz Reveals Staying at Taylor Swift’s Beverly Hills Home During Wildfire Crisis

Actress Zoë Kravitz recently shared that she and her mother, Lisa Bonet, took refuge at Taylor Swift’s luxurious Beverly Hills estate as wildfires swept through California earlier this year. Kravitz appeared on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and recounted that Swift graciously opened her $25 million mansion, a historic property from the 1930s, to them for about two weeks.

During their stay, the actress described Swift’s home as a beautifully preserved piece of architecture. The duo, accompanied by Bonet’s pet snake Orpheus, tried to leave the residence when Kravitz accidentally caused damage in the process of rescuing the snake. While cleaning, Kravitz found her mother crouched in an upstairs bathroom, where Bonet had been washing her face with Orpheus nearby. A small hole in the bathroom’s wall had allowed the snake to slip inside.

Kravitz described how she and Bonet, frantically trying to retrieve the snake, began tearing into the bathroom—ripping tiles and scratching walls—causing significant damage. To fix the chaos, they contacted Swift’s house manager, who arrived with a crowbar to demolish the built-in banquette trapping the snake. Kravitz reassured Swift’s team that she’d cover all repair costs, asking them to delay informing the singer until the damage was fixed.

When Kravitz finally called Swift to explain, the pop star already knew about the incident. Kravitz joked that Swift’s next album might be titled “Orpheus,” though the singer has announced her upcoming album as “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Friendship and Work Collaborations

The close friends have had a longstanding relationship, marked by Kravitz’s involvement in Swift’s 2022 album Midnights, where she co-wrote “Karma” and “Lavender Haze” and provided backing vocals. The actresses’ bond extends beyond music; they’ve been spotted dining together in New York City after Kravitz’s breakup from Channing Tatum.

Kravitz also attended Swift’s sold-out “Eras” tour in London, describing the experience as “crazy.” She expressed admiration for Swift’s talent, highlighting how impressive it is that, after performing for thousands, Swift comes over to relax, share wine, and hang out. Their friendship continues to deepen as they spend time together both professionally and personally.
